About Me
I‘m a work at home travel agent also known as TRAVEL LADY TALES.
I love travel and planning trips, each call is an adventure, and I have never planned a trip I did not want to take myself.
Born in Brownsville, Texas, I grew up in Austin and San Antonio, attended the University of Texas as a creative writing major. My best friend, Kay wanted to be a flight attendant so we both applied, we quit school and took off for the wild blue yonder, and that’s how I began my travel career at 18.
When I quit as a flight attendant for Braniff and saw the planes over head, I would cry. I loved flying. Sales and marketing followed, reservations agent for both domestic and international airlines, owned my own tour and group travel agency, and then started an educational toy store. When I started running group trips out of the back of the toy store I knew travel was in my blood. I sold the toy store and have been back in travel every since. I did take one other little side trip into the hospitality industry, Food and Beverage manager on the East coast, – love food – and Hotel Manager in the Southeast, it was fun but not travel.
Creative writing, cooking (without recipes), and reading are my favorites. When I am not in my virtual world, I garden, hang out with my dogs, a Princess cat, and my friends. I write children’s stories – CHICA THE GARDEN FAIRY, a spy story – RECORD LOCATOR, and futuristic “what if’s” – THE NASCA GEONOME, all works in progress.
I cherish my daughter, my friends, my family, and my clients-many of whom have become my friends.
The truth is I have been blessed to do everything I love, read, write, cook, eat, travel, and want to share the adventure with you.
Thanks for reading.
