National security is at stake when a terrorist cell uses a government travel agency (GMATS) to obtain the travel itineraries of military officers, elected officials and federal agent to assassinate them.  When it become apparent that anti-terrorist federal agents are disappearing, a black operations unit is activated to discover who is behind the murders.

At the opening gala of the Nashville Symphony, the husband of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff dies suddenly from an apparent heart attack escalating the threat.  Believing the target was the Director of the Office of National Intelligence and not her husband, Homeland Security accelerates to a terrorist code red status.  Certain that a terrorist cell is operating within the US ,picking off its agents and targeting specific members of important committees all intelligence offices are working together with to solve the puzzle.  Unable to determine how the assassins’ know the comings and goings of each target they cannot put the pieces together.  Then the break.

A GMATS travel agent becomes suspicious of a Department of Justice booking agent that calls her to book travel.  Overly friendly, sending her small gifts the DOJ booking agent regularly asks her to search for travel itinerates by name.  Agents can access a traveler’s itinerary by last name, using the information in the passenger name record (PNR) database rather than the RECORD LOCATOR to find someone’s travel details.  Uneasy and becoming more suspicious, she contacts the National Security Agency and the hunt begin.
